The Yocto-Temperature-IR is a USB temperature sensor based on infrared technology : it will let you remotely measure the temperature via a USB connection, as well as record the ambient temperature on its internal flash for later retrieval when connected again by USB.

This circuit has been designed so that the infrared sensor itself can be moved further away from the USB connector by a few meters: simply split the board into two parts and solder a 4-wire cable on the designated pads. Up to eight infrared sensors can be attached to the same device. The standard sensor provided on the device is a gradient-compensated, medical accuracy MLX90614ESF-DCA, with a field of view of 90°.

This device can be connected directly to an Ethernet network using a YoctoHub-Ethernet, to a WiFi network using a YoctoHub-Wireless-g, it can even be connected to a GSM network thanks to the YoctoHub-GSM.

USB cables and enclosures to be ordered separately.
