Yocto-Color-V2
This tiny USB device can drive up to 146 smart RGB/RGBW LEDs such as WS2812B, WS2812C, SK6812 or SK6812RGBW You can add Ethernet, Wireless or GSM connectivity to this device.
This USB device is a RGB LED driver. You can change color and luminosity of both two LEDs. You can use it for simple signaling as well as spectacular light effects.
The device is made of three parts: the driver and two sub-boards with one RGB LED on each. Sub-boards can be moved away from the main board, allowing to install the LEDs wherever you want. You just have to daisy-chain the LEDS.
This device is sold with two RGB LEDs, but actually it can drive up to 146 of theses, as long as they are WS2812B, WS2812C, SK6812 (RGB) or SK6812RGBW (RGBW) LEDs. Panels based on these specific LED models are commercially available, for instance at Adafruit. If you are desperately looking for a NEOPIXEL driver, then the Yocto-Color-V2 is what you need :-)
This device doesn't need an active USB connection to work. You can program each LED color at start up and even program simple animations that will automatically start at device power up. Then you only have to power the device with a regular USB charger.
This device can be connected directly to an Ethernet network using a YoctoHub-Ethernet, to a WiFi network using a YoctoHub-Wireless-g, it can even be connected to a GSM network thanks to the YoctoHub-GSM.
USB cables and enclosure to be ordered separately.
