The Yocto-LatchingRelay device contains a USB-driven latching relay switch: you can drive by software the relay output. To make it easier to test your project, a led shows the output state. This relay can switch up to 5A/250VAC or 5A/20VDC.

Being bistable, the relay keeps its state even when the device is not powered. The Yocto-LatchingRelay also features a button and an input allowing to manually switch the relay.
Be aware that although this relays has a good endurance to inductive loads, using it to drive inductive loads (motors, transformers) may lead to accelerated aging. Please refer to the documentation for hints on reducing this type of problems.
This device can be connected directly to an Ethernet network using a YoctoHub-Ethernet, to a WiFi network using a YoctoHub-Wireless-n and to a GSM network using a YoctoHub-GSM.
