Yocto-Serial
USB to SPI adapter (3.3V or 5V), with built-in data analyser. Works without driver and without COM port. You can add Ethernet, Wireless or GSM connectivity to this device.
This device is a USB to serial adapter, similar to RS232 but uses logical (TTL/CMOS) signal levels at 0/3.3V or 0/5V. It does not require a driver and does not install a virtual COM port.
It is able to autonomously interpret serial data coming from any external serial board and expose measures as if they would come from a Yoctopuce sensor, with all inherent advantages: unique identifier, polling, callbacks, datalogger. Be aware that this device will not work with applications designed to use a COM port: it is designed to be used with Yoctopuce API only.
If needed, the device can also provide a 3.3V or 5V voltage source to power the external serial board. The 3.3V source can provide up to 200mA.
The device can work with standard logical levels (signal high when the line is idle), or with inverted levels. RTS/CTS can only be used with standard logical levels. The device can also analyze a serial bidirectional communication between two tiers without interference.
If you need to interface a serial port working with RS232 levels, choose a Yocto-RS232.
This device can be connected directly to an Ethernet network using a YoctoHub-Ethernet, to a WiFi network using a YoctoHub-Wireless-g, it can even be connected to a GSM network thanks to the YoctoHub-GSM.
USB cables and enclosure to be ordered separately.
