Description

The Yocto-Spectral-C is a device that measures light intensity across 13 spectral channels of visible light between 380 nm and 900 nm and applies a predictive model to interpret the measurements and estimate the corresponding color in several color spaces, including RGB, HSL, XYZ, and OkLab.

The device can measure the color of emissive sources such as screens or LEDs, but also inert surfaces, which can be illuminated using white LEDs included on the module, chosen to emit light similar to the light spectrum of the sun.

The Yocto-Spectral-C allows instant color measurements via USB, but also records spectral measurements on an integrated flash memory and allows them to be read back later via USB.

The circuit has been designed to allow the spectral sensor to be offset by a few meters, simply by cutting the circuit board in two pieces and soldering a small 4-wire cable to the connection points provided.

This module is the equivalent of the Yocto-Spectral, but with a USB type-C connector. Both versions can be connected to a USB A, Type C or Micro-B host with the appropriate cable.

This device can be connected directly to an Ethernet network using a YoctoHub-Ethernet, to a WiFi network using a YoctoHub-Wireless-n and to a GSM network using a YoctoHub-GSM.

USB cables and enclosures to be ordered separately.
